Pedro creeps me out.
The fact that Ryan keeps a.... Pedro... creeps me out too.

Oh, man, Pedro is SOOO much fun! =) But not to worry--I don't "keep" a Pedro. I'm visiting my mom and she has Pedro.

I used to have Pedro when I lived in Portland, however, and he was a heck of a lot of fun. Once, there were a couple of workers who had to come into my apartment to do some work in the walls. I was at work at the time, but I always came home for lunch where I met them and they told me that Pedro scared the crap out of them! =) They had knocked on the door to see if anyone was home. When nobody answered, they went ahead and opened the door expecting the apartment to be empty, and there was Pedro sitting in a rocking chair in the living room. At first, they thought it was a real person which took them by surprise since they expected the apartment to be empty.

I laughed at the story, and the next morning, before going to work, I decided to have some more fun with Pedro. Those two workers would be doing some work for the next several days so I knew they'd be returning again that way, so I moved Pedro so he was sitting on the washing machine. As soon as I walked in the door during lunch, they told me, "Hey! That is SO not funny!" Which, of course, I thought hilariously funny. They had forgotten about Pedro, and certainly was not expecting to see him sitting on the washing machine five feet away from the front door.

You'd think that would be the end of the story.... but it's not. No, the last day they were there, I went and moved Pedro so he was sitting on the toilet. I didn't actually expect that to scare the guys, but I figured they'd get a good laugh out of it. So I moved him to the toilet. When I came in for lunch, they told me, "We're onto you! We walked in the door, and we didn't see Pedro. Hmmm..... Now where is Pedro? We KNEW he was hanging out somewhere."

And of course, they finally found him, hanging out on the toilet, which they thought was hilariously funny. =)

After I got laid off and put all my possessions into storage, I drove Pedro down to San Luis. It was originally my mom's, so I drove it back down to return it to her. Given the size and shape of the object, I figured it was actually easier to transport it just by sitting it down into the passenger seat of the car. Even buckled it's seat belt! I got a lot of strange looks from people when I passed them..... =)

The only slightly scary incident was when I reached the San Francisco area on I-80, a Hispanic man pulled up next to my car and starting honking his horn pointing at me and Pedro as if he found Pedro insulting and wanted to run me off the road. I ended up turning down I-680, but he kept going straight on I-80 and I never saw him again.

So I've had a heck of a lot of fun with Pedro. *nodding* Amanda doesn't much care for him, but I like Pedro. *nodding*

Hmmm. He would make a good boxing buddy. Won't give away locations, will go anywhere in the car, doesn't eat...much, won't get sick in the car, won't get lost--seems to be easily found, and never says anything derogatory about anyone.
