In the last 30 days, I have received notification of 23 new letterboxes in the greater Los Angeles/Orange County area!! Yowza! The vast majority of these are in the Huntington Beach and surrounding areas. Thank you all - including Teekasue, Sunnybunny, Kelsung, Take a Hike Club, and all the others! I look forward to seeing you all on the trail --

p.s. - Yeah, I know that some of the "new" letterboxes are actually established boxes being newly listed on AQ, but just seeing the notices in my Inbox gets me excited about getting the family out and exploring a new part of LA/Orange county that we haven't seen before.

There are quite a few new ones up here in Northern California as well! I also noticed that boxes popped up in places I had just visited (San Diego, Hilmar) just days after I had left. Missed 'em by *that much*! And no, they weren't ones I had planted myself.

In the San Diego logbooks I did notice that there were an awful lot of letterboxers signing in during the week immediately before and after Christmas - guess it's a nice place to be for the holidays. I did run into one group of LBers from AZ while on "the trails." Thought I was going to bump into more though, considering all the personal stamps I was seeing.

Just a quick note, but I think most of you will see it already, we just planted 4 new boxes today! This area is definitely in a major growth spurt! Very cool to be coming in during all this development!
