As the number of message boards continue to grow (especially that Hobby Box!), I figure a better naming system should be used. Since the board names are listed alphabetically, it might help people find the board they were looking for easier if the first word of the board had something to do with the board.

So a board like "On the Road" is now called "Trip Planning".

Get Your T-shirts! Patches! Other Paraphernalia! -> T-shirts! Patches! Other Paraphernalia!
Backyard Astronomy -> Astronomy
Crazy about eBay -> eBay Fanatics
Get Rich and Die Happy -> Money and Investing
Simply Cinematic -> Movie Moments
Guilty Pleasures: Television -> Television: After the Show Ends

I'm not really attached to any of the new names, so if you have better suggestions, feel free to make them. =) The only requirement is that the first word of the board name should have something to do with the board's subject matter.

"On the Road........Again".... just had a certain ring to it. It conveyed very succinctly everything a reader would need when looking for a board that would have typical topics for traveling. "Trip Planning" on the other hand seems somewhat common or ordinary particularly for such an excellant web site as Atlas Quest.

I'm with Flat Tire on this one... "Trip Planning" just seems, well, boring! However, I completely understand where Ryan is going with this. How about "Road Trips" or the more cutesy "Road Tripping"? It starts with the word Road, which clearly indicates travelling.

"Planes, Trains, and Automobiles?" "Trip Quest?" "Trip Talk?"

I don't know... clearly I need MORE caffeine!!!!

Trip Planning sounds like an accident prone individual preparing for his/her next move. Personally, I like "On the Road" as it has a nice idiomatic/figurative ring to it and it seems to capture all forms of travel despite only literally mentioning asphalt related travel.

Perhaps, as the govt is often apt to implement, "Road, on the" or "Travel, road, on the" might work? Just being facetious here with those two entries...but 'On the Road' really does capture what folks are looking for.

I was used to the old names so no matter what they end up being called I'll still have to re-learn where everything is.

The *road* one seems to be getting all the attention. I agree it should start with "Road" though instead of "Trip" or " Travel".

I think News About Letterboxing is a better name than Headline News as well, so I've changed that. Sometimes people post non-letterboxing news to that board (even though it's in the letterboxing category), so actually saying it's news about letterboxing seems like a good idea. *nodding*

I decided to paruse the new boards list, and I was SO excited!!!! when I saw the "Save the World" board! I thought, Wow, how cool of GT to make a special board for us Heroes fans! But, sadly, I realized that "Save the Cheerleader" was not in front, and this board is actually about doing good deeds.

While driving down the road today I was thinking .... (I know that my first mistake) any how I was wondering if you put what or who was 'on the road' at the beginning if that would fit your thoughts better such as 'Boxers on the road' I know the mental pic is kinda cute but it may solve the subject first thingy ??? maybe not it sounds like this one is untouchable

Tomorrow Ryan could rename the board "slip, slidin' away" as a tribute to my 150-mile commute. We have LOTS of snow coming down and I think it'll either be a 2-hour delay or full-day cancellation for school. Our property will look great (we kept the mighty green machine we bought in Wisconsin). Dh is such a show-off; he is clearing all the neighbors' sidewalks right now.
