just a line to say...
that the evening for the pub crawl will be planned within downtown walking distances
but for getting back and forth to motel rooms etc...
I am your designated driver (DD)
I don't drink (anymore) and have the ability to have plenty of fun and laughs just watching everyone else get....uh...happy ;)

Since I'm going to need to drive home anyway, I was planning to also be DD. I need to stay sober to man the camera for the compromising pictures...

Ooops, I mean the photos of everybody having a good time, laughing and just being the fun bunch we are!

Thank goodness for the ABC store. We would have never gotten to anywhere we were going if not for the ABC store! When you can't find anything else (or anywhere to turn around)....

One very good idea.....

Name tags with Names and Addresses of hotels on them.....makes it much easier to pour a person into a cab and get them to where they are going.

I once read that the best Pub Crawl game to play is Golf.

That is...you choose 9 bars.....Each bar is a hole...You assign a different drink a stroke value.

The stronger the beverage...the lower the stroke value.....

So...a shot of whiskey might be 1 Stroke....a glass of wine might be 2 strokes....a High gravity beer might be 3 strokes....a regular beer might be 4....and so on......

The best thing about this is that each set of strokes can be tailored to each particular bar....Certain bars might have specials that may be utilized....Some bars might have a crazy strong drink that someone might try if it is highlighted on the scorecard.

This also allows the organizer of the event to contact the bars, if they wish, and maybe hook everyone up with SPECIALS that save money....(Asking these places to make superstrong jello shots is always a winner...so I've been told).....The Crawl would have to arrive at each bar at a certain time....


At the very least....the organizer should make T-Shirts for the event...and everyone should wear one.....Especially if the organizer is in that line of work.....

I've read all these posts about Mama Flory's tattoos, and I met her at Table Rock, but I don't remember lots of tattoos unless they were all covered up by a jacket. You've all got my curiosity up now. How many does she really have?

this confirms my understanding of a pub crawl but of course we as boxers want to add the aspect of letterboxing to it ;)

I ain't too sure about playing pub crawl golf *laughing*
but I do know for certain... that there should be a letterbox in each location...maybe 2
and maybe you have to earn that box in each place by either

• consuming a certain drink from that establishment or
• solving a code or clue

and i say either here because I don't feel like we should have to be consuming the alcohol to get the goods...
i feel like there should be an alternative way for us sober crazies...
but again...all this is fresh in my mind and just ideas at this point.

there are some pub crawl scavenger hunts I have "heard" about....

I agree some way of earning the clue is necessary!
