UPDATE 8/10/13: THIS BOX IS UP AND RUNNING AGAIN!
This box is located in Pine Hill Park, right behind Giorgetti Park (a skating and skateboard rink). To get there, take Rt. 7 to Crescent Street. Then turn right on Preville (a one-way street). Turn right into the Giorgetti Park parking lot and park near the woods. That is Pine Hill Park. Walk up the hill to the trail head and grab a map if possible. Also, you can print off a map here.
http://www.pinehillpark.org/php/Maps.html Walk across the boardwalk and stand by the enormous elephant rock.
Note: The numbers referred to in the clues are the numbers located on signs throughout the park.
From the elephant rock, take the Upper Giorgetti Trail to #7. Take a left onto Trillium Trail and cross Crusher Road. At #15 take a hairpin turn right onto Birches Trail. Climb up the wooden platforms. Keep straight through #16 and walk up the stone path towards Tim's Vista. Pass first rock overlook. At the second overlook, stop and enjoy the view of Rutland. Find and face the sign for #16a on a 3-sister tree. To the immediate right of the sisters, walk straight into the woods about 7 steps and stop at the small beech tree. What you seek is hidden at its base under some small rocks. Please re-hide carefully, so it is invisible on all sides! This is a WELL traveled area and a favorite hangout for muggles.
To find the "Pine Hill Park Love" Letterbox, continue on Tim's Vista Trail to Pond Rd. Turn right onto Pond Road and follow the clues to the letterbox. Or, if you want, have fun exploring the rest of the park! It's a real treasure!
