I happened to be passing through Havre while riding the Empire Builder--one of the more popular routes that Amtrak provides. During a quick stop here, I planted a letterbox. Well, due to size and time constraints, I actually only planted a stamp. There is no logbook for this letterbox, and if that bothers you, perhaps you shouldn't look for it.
First, check out the Great Northern S-2 steam locamotive sitting outside of the train station. Pretty cool, huh?
To find the stamp, go inside the station and take a drink from the drinking fountain. In particular, the right drinking fountain. While drinking, run your fingers along the right side of the drinking fountain, under the bottom of it. There, against the wall, held in place with a magnet, you'll find the stamp. Be discrete, please, since nobody here knows about the stamp. If necessary, you can even pretend to drop something while taking a drink if it helps you to nab the stamp without anyone noticing.
Happy trails! =)
