It was a Smurfy Perfect Day at the Cape Cod Smurf Village. Nine Smurfs decided to venture out and go exploring. As they were leaving....
Papa Smurf said "We should find some Smurfy supplies for our Smurf Village. Watch out for Gargamel and Azreal!"
Brainy Smurf said "Lets Smurf Triangulate the square mileage of Smurfy Cape Cod by the number of Smurfy Letterboxes and go that way. Im to Smurfy smart for Gargamel."
Jokey Smurf said "Lets go tell Smurfy Knock Knock jokes to the squirells. I can make Gargamel laugh so he cant catch me."
Smurfette said "Lets find Smurfy flowers to dress up our Smurfy Village. I look like a Smurfy flower, Gargamel wont notice me."
Happy Smurf said "Lets run Smurfy here and Smurfy there, I'm Smurfy happy anywhere. Gargamel is to smurfy angry to get me."
Scardy Smurf said "Lets stay near the Smurfy trail. I'm Smurfy afraid of Gargamel to wander off trail."
Sad Smurf said "Whats the Smurfy point. Lets just wander nowhere. Gargamel will probably Smurfy steal whatever we find."
Lazy Smurf said "Lets just Smurfy stop at the first Smurfy tree and take a Smurfy nap. Gargamel wont find...(Smurfy Yawn)."
Hitchiker Smurf said "Im going to Smurfy travel as far as I can. Gargamel cant keep up with me."
Gargamel said "HA! Got one! You will lead me to the others!"
"Gargamel!!" All the Smurfs said. "Smurfy Scatter.... Smurfy Hide!"

CLUES: Go to Cape Cod Community College Campus Rt 132 (Iyanough rd) in West Barnstable. Easiest is the second entrance just beyond the Main across from the White YMCA sign. Turn into your first left. Lot #12 Tennis courts. If you use the Main entrance, just drive the circle till you come to Lot #12 on your right.
Park in lot #12. Just to the left of the Tennis Courts is the Head of Spruce Trail. There is a Map and info board there.
As you enter the Spruce Trail, Just to your left you see FIVE tall pines in a circle. Around the base of the biggest you will find Gargamel watching the trail. He is under the pink rock and pine cone clutter.
Keep to your left along a small trail. Past the base of an uprooted tree on your right. A little further on the left is an old stump with many holes. To the left of the stump is a large rock with a tree growing up its side. Look between the rock and tree for Smurfette under a piece of red brick.
Head back to the Main trail (where you started). Go left - upward over the root strewn trail. Stop where you see the old tree that crossed the path and was chainsawed out of the way. Brainy Smurf is hiding under the roots to the left side of the Large Triangle rock. Under a piece of red brick.
Stay on the trail. You will shortly come to a trio of 10+ft tall pine stumps. You can look up and see where woodpeckers have made holes. Go to the right. Follow up the hill, turn right at the 1 ft stump in the middle of the path. Look to the left for a pair of rocks sitting together (looks like a large Butt). Find Papa Smurf hidden in the crack between the two.
Go back to the 10 ft tall stumps. This time go left (now on your right). At the top of the rise the path will T. Go Left for about 10 feet. Just to your left is a pair of large pines 6ft apart and a pine stump. Stand at the stump and look to the roots of the pine furthest from the path. Where two roots cross making an "X" along the base of the tree you will find Sad Smurf behind the piece of red brick.
Standing between the two pines face West (at your back should be the stump). Walk 10 steps. Looking to your left down the hill you should see a large wood log circle. Head to the center of the circle. Inside the circle is a large sunken rock. Between the rock and the log hides Scardy Smurf under the piece of red brick and leaves.
Leaving the circle to the west, head to the large bark stripped fallen pines. While admiring the many holes look up to the right. There in a tree is an old cable, once used in an adventure course class. Follow the cable that runs down the back side of the pine to where it anchors to a pair of smaller trees. Lazy Smurf hides under the support cable in a niche of rock, under the piece of red brick and leaves.
Step over the support cable. Walk thru the mine field of rocks bearing to the right. Thru the trees you can see the soccer field on your left. You will come out on a ridge. On your left is a path leading down to the soccer field. At the center top of that path on the ledge is a triangle of pines. One is close to the ledge. One has a young tree growing from its base. It has Jokey Smurf hiding between the mother and child.
Go down the steep path to the soccer field. Go Slowly! There are steps carved out. At the bottom on your right you will see a large grey storage container. Pass that to a paved path. Follow the paved path away from the field till you see a tall blue post labled "Spruce Trail". Happy Smurf used o be hiding here. (The terrain has changed alot in this spot. No plans yet for replacing Happy).
Take the dirt trail that the Blue post marks. Go right at the fork back into the Spruce woods. Straight ahead is an huge half submerged boulder. Behind the boulder under the pink rock you will find the Smurf Village.
To exit. You can go back to the paved path, it will bring you to the tennis courts. Or you can pick up the trail.
