The Eyes Have it Nightboxes at the Big Rock!
This is a series of three boxes planted for the night gathering on 6/10/06! there are three carvers in this series! Moonbunny, MarkandSue and DavidandKaaren- Thanks to all for sending these very nice boxes to the event for us to hide and seek!! hope you enjoy!
From the Stone Mountian Park entrance get a map of the park! Find the Nature Garden Trails.
From the center parking spot in the Nature Garden Trails parking area take the trail at 240* over the roots and down the hill past the large 5 trunk tree and ford the creek. Stay on this trail and follow the fire tacks in a westerly direction until you get to a T stop and go right or up hill! You should be able to spot a multi fire tacked tree along the way. From here turn and face slightly off north and spy a tree with fire tacks on it! Once you have found it look for a hide near by! You know what to do! Join the rest of the “Insomniacs” and continue on up the trail following the tacks to the top! Beware the trees have eyes and are watching your every move! They are the keeper of the trail and will decide if you can pass or not!
Stay with the fence and follow the tacks and glow paint until the fence turns south! The large tree will point the direction to a large tree with many fire tacks on it! From this tree turn east looking for a tree with a few fire tacks on it! “A Connecticut Dragonfly“: hides near by! Stamp in and re-hide then back on the trail and southward you go.
Follow the glow to a tree! Walk around it a few times and you will figure out how to “Catch the Night Stars!” Stamp in and use great care you are under the trees stare! From here take the trail eastward and to the car! The tacks will show the way. At the camping area turn at 310* and follow the road and the tacks out to the first turn to the left at the creek. Continue on through the camping area and at the other end listen for water. Cross the natural bridge and head to the road on a trail at 40* turn left on the road and the car should be in sight!
Hope you had fun! Thanks for seeking the boxes!
