REPLACED MISSING STAMP AS OF FEB. 25, 2008
In May of 1960, Lena and Bill Spencer first opened the doors to a small cafe on Phila Street in Saratoga Springs, New York. They called it Caffè Lena. Almost 50 years later, Caffè Lena is the oldest continuously run coffeehouse in America and is known internationally for acoustic music. Bob Dylan played here on his first tour of the East. Don McLean first played "American Pie" on the Caffè Lena Stage. Arlo Guthrie sang here long before the rest of the world heard his music. Grab a list of upcoming shows off the door and pretend to scan them as you look to the left. Reach underneath the black mailbox and feel for a stamp attached with a magnet on the bottom right side of the box. Make sure to pull the magnet and not the stamp so the two remain glued together. There is no logbook so please log your find on www.letterboxing.org and www.atlasquest.com.
