Found the steps. Found the stump....errr, several stumps. Also found a big blue small animal feeder nearby. Looked around every stump. No chipmunk.

After some challenging hopping, skipping and jumping across creeks, through mud and over standing water we got to the woods and found the steps but once we got to what we assumed was the stump we had no luck finding anything... I can't imagine this was flood damage so maybe we needed to go further down the trail as the stump we checked was RIGHT on the trail...?!?
