Description

Come to our 8th TX Annual Letterbox Event (TALE) as we celebrate Native Americans in Texas. This theme can include food, dress, customs or anything pertaining to the many tribes found in Texas when the first Europeans came. The venue for this year's Event lends itself to this theme because it was named for Fort Parker, a nearby historic settlement established in 1833, and the site of the well-known Comanche Indian raid in May 1836, during which Cynthia Ann Parker was captured. During captivity, Cynthia Ann became the mother of the last great Comanche chief, Quanah Parker. I hope you will join us as we "Go Native".
