oh NOOOO. we went camping and cant find our fairy of the dunes. She was last seen in July. bummer. this was our favorite stamp. Mousetroop

went camping this past wk end. Had a great time. We checked on our little dune fairy & all is well. Just needed some clue modifications due to the new restrooms added to the dune area.

If you are camping at the Pinery this year, I would recommend you change your boxes to lock n locks. We found fairy of the dune with the lid off. Don't worry, the log book and stamp were fine. Also, all the landmarks, such as the bench, have been removed. Being stubborn letterboxers, we just walked into the middle of the field and looked for a path that matched your description . . . ta da . . . it worked. Loved the stamp!!

The Pinery is a beautiful area. Unfortunately, the area where Fairy of the Dunes is located has been barred to traffic -- car and pedestrian due to construction in the area. It will not be available until at least October but more likely next spring. The day rate is now $15.00.
