We first found this box back in February. It was intact but the log book was frozen. We just went back today (August 12 2017) and could not find it again. There has been record high water levels this summer.

We looked very carefully for the box but were unable to find it. We dug around under the rock very thoroughly. An empty water bottle was found where the box should have been - maybe someone tampered with the box?

We had fun digging through rocks to find this rock. There was a lot of water in the box when we opened it though and the notepad was too wet to stamp.

Very nice stamp and a very beautiful location!

Beautiful location. We looked at the wrong tree first, but we found it! Lovely stamp and a great find!

We had a lovely walk from the marina to find this box in a lovely little park. Beautiful location!

What a surprise! The area didn't feel at all like the big city. Everyone in the neighbourhood smiled at us as if we belonged. We tried 3 different 3 trunked trees before finding the right hiding spot. A delightful find.

Very nice - in perfect condition and in a great location... But it has it's own arachnid guard - bring gloves! -Bumble

This is a beautiful and peaceful spot. We sat with our journal and stamps for quite a while, enjoying the geese and boats on the water. The sound of the water lapping against the rocks was very relaxing.
Thank-you for a happy day.

I'm glad you gave detailed directions because I'm lousy at lakeshore boulder finds, I don't think I've ever found a letterbox hidden among boulders by the lakeshore (I've 'attempted' several). Your letterboxer topped off a beautiful September afternoon. Such a lovely little lakeside park. Quiet and peaceful and scenic. Ducks, geese and swan floated by as I stamped up. A ton of sailboats were bobbing on the horizon. The water was a surprising clear blue green, I could see the sand and rocks at the bottom. Growing up back in the 70s I remember the lake being consistently brown. Thanks for a splendid find and thanks for hiding a hand-carved stamp.
