Box is still alive and well!

Looked under the bridge for 15 minutes. Was a great set of clues - sorry we weren't able to find it.

Back to this beautiful valley for my 3rd find. Looks like the creek was quite high at some point because the box was filled with water - but your freezer ziplock bag saved the day. The logbook was only a little damp and all the signature stamps in the log were fine. I dumped the water and wiped down the container and baggie.

Was out today letterboxing with Jiggs, and we managed to find 2 of 3 boxes. We are pretty sure we found were "Who are you looking for?" was located but nothing but some evidence of the hide.

I had the day off and a chance to drive back to Oakville. Nice letterbox, easy to get to and well hidden. Took the pouch down the trail to stamp up at a quiet spot in the forest, on a log with a view of the valley. Thanks for the fun BumbleAlong. PS. Checked Whooo, it's fine - the lid is on.

Such a pretty walk! We could feel the cool air from the ravine wafting up at us as we descended.

This was a very hard find for us, and we almost gave up after 20 minutes of up-and-down searching. Then I spotted it; the clue was even more clever than I thought!

The lid had popped off; I took out some of the tissue to make it less bulky before reassembling. I hope that does the trick.

A very nice walk along the trail in the woods. Beautiful ravines. Should be very colourful in the fall. It was a fun find. I took it to a flat boulder for stamping. A young family walked past. The mom looked at my stuff and asked if I was letterboxing. I was flabbergasted. I never met strangers who knew about letterboxing. Turns out they had letterboxed in the United States. They didn't realize there were any nearby and said they'd pick it up again now that they knew there was something in Oakville. I let them know to check Atlas Quest.

After they continued along the trail I finished stamping up, repacked the contents and stuffed it into the container. The lid was loose so I was worried about it staying on.

Then I headed downhill to a geocache about a 5 minute walk away. After finding it back up the hill I went and double checked the letterbox. Good thing I did because the lid had popped off. :(
So I pulled everything apart, repacked tightly, squeezed out as much air as possible, folded the baggie as tightly as I could and pushed the contents and baggie back into the container. It felt better this time. I sure hope the lid stays on.

Thanks for the adventure BumbleAlong. Nice work on the handcarved stamp and the handcrafted logbook.
