I enjoyed the stroll through the monuments and even indulged myself by reciting some Roman classics on the stage. ("Bartender, gimme a martinus.")

But after I walked through the arch I was greeted by a row of stumps and a big pile of cedar sawdust. I searched around on the ground a bit but given the admonition to attach the box tightly to the tree, I'm afraid that it's mulch.

We've been meaning to visit this park for ages and a letterboxing trip was just the excuse. We enjoyed the stamp as well as the directions that also explained a lot of what we were seeing since much of it lacked a caption for the non artistic folks like us.

This was our first ever letterbox. We geocache and wanted to try something different. Loved this and really loved the Guild Inn. We are hooked.

2nd try at this one but we had the old clues last time. Easy find this time.

Second time's the charm (esp once we got our L/R problem sorted out!)

Second find of the day... My absolute favourite letterbox, bar none - 5 is not a high enough rating, 9 all the way (puppies at the box would have got you 10).

Stunning park - no idea it existed. I got there super early in the morning and had the place to myself. That is the kind of place I want to live... I can just imagine what it would have looked like when the Inn was in full swing. I will definitely be back!

The clue was fantastic; what a lovely tour through a truly unique public park. The stamp, as per usual, is stunning and typically flawless.

Well done, Fiddleheads!

Since I grew up so close to the Guild Inn, finding this box was a nostalgic trip down memory lane . The lawns and greenery were so lush. Another great carving. How do you manage to get your straight lines so straight and precise? Thank you for the plant.
