Description
Starting on April Fool's Day this year! (which I'm sure at least someone can apPREciate).I thought it might be fun to set up an event for the Rocky Mtn gang to encourage us all to plant more boxes this spring, so that our wonderful Rocky Mountain summertime will be filled with new boxes to find! There are no "rules" - and no limit to the amount of boxes you plant (perish that thought!) Plant as many as your heart desires, release a hitchhiker, or get out there and do some maintenance to reactivate some old boxes.
I know ... I know ... we shouldn't need an event to encourage us to plant. I just thought it would be a fun thing, and perhaps some of us (ahem ... that'd be me) might be encouraged to get carving and get out on the trails sooner and get some of their creations hidden. I admit, sometimes I need a little encouragement, so this is
as much to encourage myself as others. Since March can often be the snowiest month (at least in the Denver area) - we've set the date for the month of April.
Whether you live in Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho, Utah, or New Mexico - it doesn't matter.
Get out there and Box the Rockies!
GATHER: If you want to gather to celebrate the "month" - there will be a mini-meet in Denver on 5/2 NEW DATE!!! at 10am.

And on the same day, another mini-meet in West Jordan, Utah. http://www.atlasquest.com/showinfo.html?gEventId=1222
EDIT: When you sign up, complete the "potluck" section to include the number of boxes you plan to plant in April! You can update this along the way if you dont know yet, or the number changes! It will be fun to see how many boxes this "event" stirs up! To do this, just click on "Edit Signup" and input a note!
Just A Progress Report: As of 7am on 4/21 - based on the clues on AQ so far - we already have 49 traditional boxes and 2 hitchhikers released in the Rocky Mountain Region just this month! 68 boxes (trad and hh) if I do my best to include the LBNA stuff, too.
