Please join us for a fun day at scenic (and little-known) Dennis Hill State Park in Norfolk, CT! If Mother Nature cooperates, foliage should be near peak, and this site provides an amazing panorama for all to enjoy.

During the month of October, you can drive to the spacious stone pavilion at the top of the hill, but most of the parking is at the bottom. Please drop off anything you cannot carry (or folks unable to walk the hill) at the top, then park back at the bottom and walk up. There are a few trails at the park itself which will have several permanent, and likely some event-only letterbox plants, and the park is well-situated to serve as a "home base" for those who would like to meet, exchange, and then head out to some other even more remote or strenuous Northwest Corner hikes.

There is a working fireplace in the pavilion, but the park closes at sunset. No overnight camping is allowed in the park. Table boxes, cooties, and raffle contributions are welcome! There is no admission fee for the park. Please contact us regarding trail plants you may have planned, as there are already a number in the works. In addition to the foliage theme, there are at least two young (less than 5-year-old) letterboxers celebrating birthdays near this date, so there will be cake, as well as some pre-K themed letterboxes! Pot luck lunch items are welcome, too.
