Description

Hop on your brooms and ghost on over to this Halloween themed event! Fun, thrills and chills will be had - rain, snow or shine.

There will be an early morning meeting place - details still to be confirmed, but it will be in Downtown Orangeville.

Our indoor meeting location will be in the downstairs meeting room at the Mill Street branch of the Orangeville Public Library. This is a great central location, and will be good for warming up if the day is cold and letting the little ones wind down, but dogs will have to wait outside. I will make sure we have some water bowls available for furry friends.

There are several event stamps coming from all over, plus donation and loaned boxes will be planted for the event. A clue package will be available for pickup at 8 a.m. or can be emailed out the previous night for those who want to get a really early start in the morning - just send me your email address.

The library has rules about strong scents, so please try to bring potluck items that are not too messy or strong smelling (I'm revising my original plan to make chili). There will be coffee - and lots of it.

Oct 3, 2010: 4 weeks to go!
Wow - only four more weeks until the Black-and-Orangeville event! The countdown is on.

I was out planting this weekend, scoping locations for more boxes and getting the clue package ready. Anyone planning to send loaner or donation boxes, please let me know so I can plan to get your box planted before the 30th.

Oct 25, 2010: Black-and-Orangeville Event Update
Hi everyone -

I'm looking forward to seeing you all next weekend in Orangeville! Here a quick final update on the event, please AQ mail me with any questions.

8 am - I will be at a picnic table at the Mill Square Park at the corner of Mill St and Church St with clue packets and town maps for pick-up - Gemini Boy (Randy) and The Hatchling will be there as well.

10 am - I will be moving one block up to Mill St and Broadway to the meeting room on the lower level of the Orangeville Public Library. Event boxes will be available to stamp in after 10 o'clock. Someone (most likely me) will be at the library meeting room right through till 3 o'clock.

12 noon - lunch & raffle draws. If you have something you would like to donate to the raffle, please bring it with you to the event. Proceeds go toward covering event costs.

Notes:
- a black inkpad will come in very handy at this event
- wear waterproof footgear, rain is forecast here all week, so expect trails to be muddy
- if you plan to go nightboxing, bring a good high-powered flashlight
- nightboxing clues will be posted on Friday for those people coming for Friday night.
- anyone who would like to meet for dinner at Kelsey's in town at 6 o'clock on Saturday please let me know, I will be making reservations on Thursday for our group.
- NEW - Personal travellers are not part of the clue package, you might want to look at those in advance!

Oct 29, 2010: Final update!
Well, the sun is down, and the Orangeville Nightboxing clues are up!

I'm doing some last minute chores before tomorrow morning, then going to bed early (with my fingers crossed for good weather)!

One last suggestion - if you can bring a coffee cup, it would be greatly appreciated. I'll have a few extras on hand but would prefer not to use styro cups.
