Tree Hugger Letterboxing Meet Up
May 15, 2010
St. Thomas, Ontario

Please join us for a day or two or three -- whichever works for you. We promise to keep you entertained and letterboxing in some very beautiful areas including Downtown St. Thomas, Old Talbot Street, Pinafore Park and areas further afield.

We will be introducing a new series of boxes representing Heritage Trees at this meet up.

Schedule of Events:

11 am: Registration at Pinafore Park, swaps, goodie bags
12 pm: Pot luck lunch, group photo, and then off letterboxing
7 pm: Supper and social at a local restaurant (location will be determined when we know how many people will be coming)

Last year’s Musical Mystery Tour boxes (a walking tour of downtown St. Thomas) are still active but with some changes, as well as the Pinafore Park boxes. The Dalewood/Waterworks area boxes will be re-planted before the meet up (They were pulled for the winter). And we will be introducing a new series representing Heritage trees.

Clue packages and goodie bags with lots of local information will be provided when your team registers.

If you would like to plant letterboxes while you are visiting us, we would be absolutely thrilled.

May 14, 2010: Only one more sleep . . .
I'm so excited to see you all tomorrow. We will be at Pinafore Park by 10 am tomorrow to set up. We decided to do all our swaps and lunch right at the start of things so that you would have an uninterrupted afternoon of letterboxing. I am still in the process of entering boxes for the event. I will have booklets with all the clues to all the local boxes tomorrow.

Jun 20, 2010: An exciting message from Starhexen
Hi folks,

Once again, thanks for your hospitality and viking-friendly event in May! Jen and I had an awesome time in St. Thomas. I can’t wait to visit again to hunt for more of your fantastic letterboxes :) Quick question: are you able to post something to the event page and/or send out a message to everyone who was there?

We completed and submitted our video to for our "Reflexive Social Work Practice" class (we got an A+!), and we'd like to share it, in case for some reason anyone who was there on May 15 is actually interested in seeing it. It's a little heavy on the social work theory and extra heavy on the ridiculousness - you will see me at my most blonde. But it’s mildly entertaining. If you (or anyone else) is interested in a copy, send me an email at starhexen@gmail.com and I can forward the video. It’s in .wmv format.
