Description

Carving Tips Workshop during the "2011: a stamp odyssey" event, at the LUNCH shelter by the lake after the potluck and group photo.

MO UR4Me will demonstrate basic carving methods (gauges) and discuss a few more advanced techniques (Xacto knives, needles). If you're lucky, roly-polies or I Dig Toasters can give you even more advanced tips.
We will also discuss the variety of stamp mediums available as well as image transfer methods, and most importantly, where you can get all that stuff!
Kids and adults are welcome. (We'll go from basic to advanced, so kids can work on an eraser while adults discuss finer methods.)

You may just watch & listen or try your hand at carving something. I have enough gauges for everyone, but you will need to bring:
1) a piece of stamp rubber or an eraser to carve or a quarter to buy a nice eraser from MO UR4Me
2) a printed SIMPLE, thick-lined image from your computer or a coloring book that you can trace with a pencil (or you can just draw something)
I will have everything else.

The display table will be moved to the event (campground) shelter afterward if you want to just browse later.
