Description

It's time for the 7th annual fall event - a celebration of all things fall! This year it is at Kaposia Park in South Saint Paul. We'll meet at the Kaposia Park Picnic Shelter (not the log cabin-like picnic pavilion). This is usually a very laid back event with lots of fun boxes and plenty of exchanges and time for talking.

***Update 10/5/12***

*Since it will be a little brisk tomorrow, we'll have the bonfire in the firepit. I'm bringing firewood and I know a few people volunteered to bring some more, but more would be appreciated!

*I'm also bringing hot water and hot chocolate and tea. I'll have disposable hot cups, but I would definitely encourage you to bring your own reusable mug (yay for being eco-friendly!).

*The clues for "Fall 2012: Autumn Bounty" and "The New Mascot" will be included in the clue packet, so you don't need to print out those clues on your own (unless you really really want to).

**Update 9/17/12**
There is a firepit just down a slight hill from the picnic shelter. Depending on the weather, it might be nice to have a bonfire going. If that's the case, then firewood will be needed.

Letterboxes
Feel free to hide your own Autumn/Halloween/various fall holidays themed boxes (temporary or permanent) in the park. Thompson County Park is just across the highway from Kaposia Park and the two are joined by a pedestrian bridge. Hiding boxes in either park is encouraged. All levels of carving abilities are welcome! You can either distribute the clues to your box(es) on your own or send them to me to include in the "official" clue packet. If you'd like them included in the "official" clue packet, I'll need your clues by October 1st. You can either send them to me through AQ-mail or if you'd rather do a Word doc, ask me for my non-AQ-mail address. If you'd like a box hidden, but can't make it to the park ahead of time, I'm willing to hide it for you. AQ-mail me if you'd like to set something up.

Food
This will be a potluck. Please sign up for what you'd like to bring.

Per the helpful lady in the South Saint Paul Parks Office, electricity to the shelters is turned off in mid-October, so there should be electricity in the shelter on the 6th.
