Description

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away....

It is a period of winter Letterboxing desolation. Rebel
spaceships manned by Princess Pixie Dust Gal, striking
from a hidden base, have won their first victory
against the evil Letterbox stealing Muggles.

During the battle, Jedi Blackvelvetrav managed
to steal secret plans to the Empire's
ultimate weapon, careless Muggle families,
armored Letterbox stamp stealers with enough
power to destroy the entire Idaho Letterboxing
community.

Pursued by the Empire's sinister agents, Princess Pixie Dust Gal
and Jedi Blackvelvetrav race to host an epic interstellar
Star Wars Letterboxing event to save their Letterboxing friends
and restore Letterboxing freedom to the galaxy...

December 18, 2015, has been set for Lucas film’s highly anticipated Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens movie release.

We are planning an event to encompass the movie release (Friday, December 18th) and a day of intergalactic Letterboxing (Saturday, December 19th).

Friday – December 18th (4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.)

Come and visit us at the Meridian Village Coffee Shop to stamp into special Table Top Letterboxes that will only be available prior to the movie Friday night.

Saturday – December 19th (10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.)

We will be returning to the Community Center at the Brookwood Subdivision in Eagle, Idaho for a day of intergalactic Letterboxing fun. The Force Awakens Letterboxing event will have you inside and outside during your adventures. Weather in December will inevitably be cold. Dressing in layers is recommended, sturdy shoes with good traction are never a bad idea and it never hurts to have an umbrella handy for rain or snow. You will have plenty of opportunities to warm up as we will not leave you stranded on the planet Hoth like Luke Skywalker was in the Empire Strikes Back.

Shine your helmets, charge your light sabers, bush your fur and tighten your hair buns as costumes from both the light and dark forces will be encouraged.

We would love for everyone to bring their favorite Star Wars inspired foods to share at the potluck. Let your culinary creativity blast into warp drive. Light-saber Pretzels, Princess Leia Buns, Yodamole and Trooper Scoopers, Wookie Cookies, Jabba Jigglers, Jar Jar Links in a Blanket, Storm Trooper Cheese Balls, Death Star Watermelon… use the force and see what you can create.

As always you are welcome to bring your own event or table top letterboxes to share. However, we ask that your images be family friendly.

Dec 17, 2015: The Force is Awakening Soon
Here are a few reminders and updates for the event:

Weather could be a concern if you are traveling from out of state. If the roads are keeping you grounded and you cannot make it to the event please drop your sing-up. This will help us keep an accurate count for our food preparations.

If you are planning on attending the movie on Friday at the Cinema West Theaters (at the Meridian Village) you can wear your favorite costume/uniform but please note that no masks or prop weapons will be allowed into the theater.

I do have three extra tickets to the 7:00 p.m. showing of the movie for Friday. If someone would like them please let me know. The first person to respond (who is 100% sure that they can attend) will receive the tickets. I can split them up if needed.

We are anticipating snow today and rain the next two days with temperatures hovering between 38 and 40 degrees. Please dress accordingly for indoor and outdoor letterboxing. Recommendations include layers, waterproof shoes or boots and an umbrella. Although we will have a lot of the stamps inside to help you stay warm you will be heading outside for several series.

The address for Saturday’s event is 1410 North Eagle Road, Eagle. Head North on Eagle, through the light at Floating Feather and turn right into Old Barn Road into the Brookwood Subdivision. Parking is across the street from the Community Center next to the basketball courts.

Hello Fellow Jedi!

I want to send out my belated apologies to those of you who were rushed out the door at the end of our event. I am sorry for being very rude and abrupt in my request to leave the clubhouse. My son had gotten home from college late Friday night, and I hadn't seen him yet, so I was very anxious to get home to see him. I most certainly could have been kinder and more thoughtful in the way I ended the event. I am sorry you were left outside to finish your conversations and say goodbye. For our next event, I will be sure to not do this again.

I hope each of you are having a great year so far and hope to see you in the near future.
