4/11/2008 Update: You no longer need to precut your carving material. Some of the images will be larger than the 1.5" square.4/7/2008 Update: Lunch venue has changed from bring a dish to pass to bring your own lunch. There is a fridge and microwave available for your use.

This event is designed to learn and practice some new transferring and carving skills.
Agenda:
Meet and Exchange
Transferring Image Techniques (tracing, xylene, acetone, iron??)
Carving Faces and Fine Lines
Lunch (there is a kitchen available)
There will be an event stamp and maybe a few mystery boxes but the focus
will be on learning and practicing carving skills
Jackbear, (with a few helpers) has graciously agreed to provide the tutorial on the transferring and carving techniques.
What you need to bring:
BRING YOUR OWN LUNCH
Work surface (cardboard or self healing pad)
Carving tools
Carving material (please pre-cut 1.5" square blocks, as many as you want to practice)
Pencils
Ink/ruler/exacto knife
What we will provide:
Xylene pens
Acetone
Tracing Paper
Images
Coffee, tea, hot water
I am calling this event "not kid friendly" just because the purpose is to work and concentrate on learning and practicing carving skills. Unless your child likes to sit and carve, they may find this event quite boring.
